NEW OWNERS SINCE 1.7.2000.
Ms Maša Valentinčič and Mr Jože Borštnar have set up Camping Menina in 1983, with the aim in view to help holiday makers feel at home, as if personally invited to Slovenia and Camping Menina.
After one week war in 1991 the tourism in Slovenija went down and they almost stopped the camping, but Menina was open during the season all the time. And every year after 1991 there was more an more holiday makers in Menina and in Slovenia. Then they decided to sell the camp because of other marketing projects.
So per 1.7.2000 Mr. Jurij Kolenc and Mrs. Katja Cafuta decided to revive camp Menina and tourism in Upper Savinja Valley. After second season they are very satisfied and successful also with a personal touch to our guests and offering them all of the charms and beauties of river Savinja valley.
Outside the high season Jurij Kolenc devotes his time to study orthopedics and tourism. And offering massage treatments to his customers and sport clubs. Mrs. Katja has gotten her DIPLOMA horticulture knowledges in June 2009, thus making her the smartest member of the Menina team and is responsible for the camp flower and garden arrangements. Having an open personality they are always looking for new contacts among people and they enjoy a good conversation, with a glass of nice Sloveninan wine.
Always interested to ways of life of other nations, Katja and Jurij have both travelled widely and acquired good knowledge of English and German, and even a bit of Dutch!
The added owner since 23.12.2010 is our – of course – the lovliest daughter in the world. miss ŠPELA
